The effects of the treatment is immediate. After your lips may appear red and swollen for 3-5 days and its advised to plan for this before a special date or event.

Patients should:

Avoid anti-inflammatory painkillers

Avoid exercising for a day or up to 12 hours

Avoid applying make up for at least 12 hours

Avoid extreme temperatures e.g. sun exposure

Apply ice pack to reduce reduce swelling and chances of bruising
